Biography
Dr. Christie has been a Clevelander for 14 years and joined Atrium Foot Specialist in 2014. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry with honor as Outstanding Senior Chemist by American Chemical Society. She was awarded a Presidential Scholarship during her podiatric medicine education and served as chief resident during her podiatric surgical residency with University Hospitals. She is affiliated with University Hospitals, Cleveland, Clinic, St. Vincent Charity Hospital, and Chagrin Surgery Center.
Dr. Christie is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by ABFAS and treats a wide range of podiatric concerns for all ages including geriatric or diabetic foot care. She believes in empowering patients by encouraging active participation in treatment plans while teaching prevention through education and proper shoe gear.
Dr. Christie has a special interest in wound care and is certified by two American Wound Boards. She strives to maintain the highest standards of wound care through advanced treatment options and techniques. In addition to wound care Dr. Christie has an interest in biomechanics and its relationship to shoes. She believes in helping her patients make informed shoe choices based on their specific foot needs.
Dr. Christie resides in Kirtland, Ohio with her husband. When she is not busy in the office, operating room, nursing home, or hospital she enjoys reading, movies, hiking/walking, and eating delicious food.
